what is death else but my breath no more?the color fallen from my cheeks?

my hands cold?

my legs stiff stick?

my hurt no more

this be death tis a joy i sing

my once stifled soul set free

unhemped by the rain nor claim from the sun

this be the death tis a joy i sing

truly there is but one thing i do regret in death

that i cannot feel its joy

but regret is to feel

and to feel i can no more

so truly, it is a joy

my love for you is as the stars lighting beautifying the heavens forever

as you have glorified the earth for me

my love for you, a fire becomes

that plucks the strings

that beats the durums

that makes me sing the song that i do

if there be anything more lovely your legs, your arms, your face

if there be anything, it's your soul

forever a vapor in my heart

come, fill my waiting arms

in my heart i make for you a hiding place

if you find yourself unworthy of my words

let me pluck the tongue from my mouth

the eyes from my head, and let silence, my curse forever

if i but betray you let my legs fail

and my arms and hands go limp

 my tongue turn to ashes

and silence, be my curse forever and my smile my frown be ,

my laughter tears, forever salting my taste

letme know no other softness than your breast

no other warmth than your body

no other pride and joy than your child

"say father, there's poetry in our family isn't it?"father says, "yes son, from the tops of our heads to the tips of our toes"

son says, "what a masterful gene to have flowing in your veins, as great as the billowing sea if not greater."

father says, "well perhaps as great as the sea, but not greater."

son says, "has your age ebbed your strength?

do you not conceive that the earth is not swallowed in the sea's surging liquid mass while the poet encompasses worlds

he wears the stars for a crown but searches the darkness for a light."

father says to son that the is bound by its shores

but the poet is also bound ,

bound by his gift.

yes death and thus forever blown across the earth from mountain to mountain blown by the great solo winds

from planet to planet from galaxy to galaxy

unto to great dust collector of the universe

the fleeting time betrays man's trust

it mocks his ashes in the dust

make haste for soon the worms and maggots will dance and shout

and the wind will blow what's left about

so plant your seeds as best you can

note well each sunrise and sunset

death comes slowly it seems

slowly it seems

like the ones i never willed

poems of poets  like the birds i killed

poems of poets accusations like ropes around my throat

for the poems i never wrote

poems of poets flying above my head

like the birds i killed

i'm a dying star in a black sky but i feel like the brightest thing since the hollywood sign.do you remember old movie stars/? they had this cert

tain glow about them that only they possessed. not the moon or any neon

flash could master. i waver in this night thinking about their gold en

locks and cherry lips and those big black lashes and wonder will i ever

be so glamourous? i want to fall on trees and spill star dust on the

leaves but i fade with the morning sun and won't be remembered like those

curls in marilyn;s hair or the mascara on jackies lashes and i think its

better this way because stars are meant to fade. i am not sad.
